Job Description

HCM Systems Administrator and Training Analyst will serve as the point of contact for the Virginia Tech’s Human Capital Management (HCM) system. The primary responsibility of the HCM Systems Administrator and Training Analyst is to provide support to the human resource operations as it relates to the technical development, process efficiencies, managing user access and system documentation. Emphasis is placed on process efficiencies projects, system testing, implementation of modifications and system upgrades.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Information Systems or related degree.
• Significant experience as a systems administrator of an enterprise wide system.
• Experience preparing and delivering in-person, hybrid and remote training and creating the training materials.
• Experience organizing, planning and prioritizing work while managing multiple tasks simultaneously with successful outcomes within deadlines.
• Responsible for processing data efficiently, accurately, and developing effective solutions in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies, ensure data integrity and create reports
• Experience with providing independent judgment in responding to most requests.
• Ability to apply high level analytical skills to understand, evaluate and identify options to meet goals.
• Demonstrated knowledge in ensuring compliance with all necessary rules, regulations, standards and laws.
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency with current office computer software such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience preparing and delivering technical and user trainings and presentations.
• Knowledge of database functionality and experience analyzing data to identify trends and errors.
• Strong administrative and customer service experience in an academic or professional office environment.
• Experience working in a state agency or a university setting.

Commensurate with experience with a salary range up to $67,000 per year
