The Office of Graduate Studies (OGS) in Arts & Sciences seeks a highly motivated, forward thinking individual who is eager to be part of a dynamic team and work with faculty, staff, and graduate students in Arts & Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis. The new Director will lead academic initiatives to advance distinction and innovation in graduate education, coordinate special projects and partnerships with programs and departments as well as organizations off campus, and collaborate on OGS strategic initiatives. This role requires the ability to think boldly about current and future opportunities in the national landscape of graduate education, and the creativity to design and strategically implement projects. In addition, this Director will lead the evaluation and assessment of academic initiatives and goals the OGS pursues and help develop key performance indicators for measuring the success of special projects. The Director will work closely with the Associate Vice Dean & Vice Dean of Graduate Education on graduate program innovation opportunities, data collection and modeling, strategies for enhancing career outcomes, and collaborating with regional and national partners / organizations that are innovating in graduate education. This position will also support current and future master’s degree programs, graduate certificates, and short-term graduate-level experiences. The Director will be part of a growing and collaborative OGS team, and will serve on Arts & Sciences and university committees.
