Salary & Benefits:        Salary is $37,670.92. Compensation package is comprised of many college paid benefits including health and life insurance, retirement, leave time, and tuition waivers for Santa Fe College and the University of Florida.

Consistent with the values and goals of Santa Fe College, the Office Admissions helps students begin their path to academic success through recruitment, advising, processing, and orientation. The Office of Admissions is seeking an Admissions Specialist. This position works directly with representatives of public and private high schools, business, government and community organizations in actively recruiting prospective students for Santa Fe College. He or she serve as primary advisor to college’s the Student Ambassador program, manage the college’s on-campus and virtual visits programs, and New Student Convocation, among other responsibilities. 


The successful applicant will have exceptional communication, organizational and interpersonal skills as well as a strong work ethic and attention to detail. They must be a self-starter and highly motivated to provide prospective students with accurate information about the college’s programs and application procedures. The applicant must possess working knowledge in social media, digital communications and a commitment to service excellence as a representative of the college. As some recruitment events often occur in the evening or on the weekend, schedule flexibility is critical.


Responsibilities and duties include:
•    Engage prospective students at events on campus, in the community and out-of-district, to provide timely and accurate information about the college, designated programs and the enrollment process
•    Select, train, and supervise the college’s Student Ambassadors; responsible for facilitating leadership development programs for the group and serving as their primary advisor
•    Manage the college’s Campus Visit programs, including on-campus tours, virtual tours, and special events
•    Develop and produce Santa Fe Live - New Student Convocation student success event held in Fall/Spring semesters
•    Regularly update Recruitment event management platforms and coordinate content with Marketing and Communications
•    Collaborate with community organizations in Alachua and Bradford County to promote events for prospective students
•    Manage and/or assist with special events on-campus and virtually; represent the college at events in the community and out-of-district providing information about SF programs to prospective students and families
•    Serve as a pre-college advisor to provide timely and accurate information about the college and the enrollment process
•    Track prospective student interactions at campus visits and other events to help connect students to key resources and contacts at the college
•    Supervise part-time student staff as needed
•    Assist and advise the Coordinator and Director in all areas of student recruitment and enrollment
•    Daily interaction with offices on campus that provide staff and support for recruitment and orientation events and communication to prospective and incoming students 
•    Strictly honor the privacy and security of student records and other sensitive information according to appropriate state, federal and college regulations, policies and procedures
•    Provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible and professional engagement
•    Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS 
Required:  A Bachelor’s degree with at least two (2) years of related work experience in enrollment management or as a teacher, counselor or advisor at the high school level or post-secondary level, or equivalent, is required. 
Additional Requirements:  A criminal background check will be conducted. Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds without assistance. Applicants must have a valid Florida Driver License and be authorized to drive for the college.
Preferred:  A Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with experience working in a community college and/or university setting is preferred. Multiple language competencies strongly preferred to successfully communicate with diverse student populations. Experience with constituent relationship management platform (CRM) strongly preferred.

•    Multi-task - Ability to expeditiously organize, coordinate, manage, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously to swiftly assess a situation, determine a logical course of action, and apply the appropriate response.
