JOB SUMMARY:
Senior level leadership position responsible for marketing and analytics work on behalf of the university with priority focus upon reputation enhancement, overall brand awareness, enrollment, alumni relations. Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:
30% - Marketing: Develop marketing plan in concern with the overarching strategic marketing and communications plan for the division. Align planning to the university strategy. Create, facilitate, collaborate and coordinate among team members on marketing efforts in support of the VP, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer on behalf of Clemson University to affect change in enhancing brand awareness and reputation in alignment with the university's overarching strategic plan. Areas of focus include brand awareness, reputation enhancement, enrollment, alumni relations.
30% - Analytics: Implement and lead an ongoing comprehensive and integrated marketing and communications analytics structure and cycle, to include dashboards for the division and colleges that measure progress across key marketing communications metrics, such as: segmentation analysis, data mining, stakeholder profiles. Lead effort to create data visualization tools that tie to strategic plan metrics.
20% - Leadership and Collaboration: Collaborate with team members to develop paid and earned media strategies, initiatives and campaigns. Supervise direct reports and provide strategic counsel to other members of the UR team as well as university communicators.
20% - External Vendor Management: Manage research activities including vendors who support. Collaborate with creative team in advertising campaign development internally and with outside agencies as required, including fastidious budgetary management and ROI analysis.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's Degree - in related field (marketing, communications, data analytics, business)
Work Experience: 5+ years
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience: 10+ years

Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises work of others and may offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.
BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES
No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Work Experience: 10+ years
WORKING CONDITIONS:
5% - Overnight Travel
WORK SCHEDULE:
Standard Hours: 37.5/week
Expected Salary Range: $ 94,300.00 - $ 110,000.00
