EMPLOYER LIAISON FOR GRAD PROG

Salary:

Minimum $49,700 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Employer Liaison for Graduate Programs will work within the School of Pharmacy (SoP) and will support professional master's, capstone certificate, and PhD graduate students by cultivating connections and opportunities with potential employers. This person will promote the Applied Drug Development, Psychoactive Pharmaceutical Investigation, and SoP PhD programs to relevant employers, identify employment and internship opportunities, coach students in developing effective job application materials, and guide students through the recruitment process. The Employer Liaison for Graduate Programs will engage with students, faculty, staff, and industry contacts.

Responsibilities:

Develops comprehensive employer recruiting communication strategies, cultivates key partnerships, and establishes an extended professional network to effectively promote and market students and programs to local and national employers. Supervises unit staff and/or oversees a critical strategic function, process, or initiative. Strives to create a welcoming, equitable, and inclusive work environment.
  • 25% Serves as the main point of contact for prospective employers, provides advice and information about recruitment, engagement, hiring students, and addresses their needs
  • 5% Schedules logistics and secures resources for on-campus recruiting activities
  • 20% Develops relationships and working knowledge of relevant industries
  • 25% Provides students with information about career planning and employment opportunities and/or coaches students through the recruiting process
  • 5% Participates in the campus-wide career services community providing input to leadership regarding the development of advising, recruitment, and co/curricular programs offered by the school/college
  • 10% Schedules logistics and secures resources for internships, virtual career fairs, and other remote recruiting activities.
  • 10% Collaborates with other student services team members to implement programs' career development resources.

Education:

Required
Bachelor's Degree

Qualifications:

Three years of work experience in a relevant field such as in pharmaceutical / life sciences / chemical industries, psychedelic therapy, career development, workplace development, or related industries.

Required Skills:
-Working expertise with Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and collaboration software (MS Teams, Zoom, Google Drive, Box).
-Demonstrated excellence in customer service, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
-Proven record of process implementation/improvement and successful collaboration with cross-functional teams.
-Demonstrated leadership, strategic planning, and project management experience in a fast-paced environment.
-Experience with virtual event planning, in-person event planning, and professional relationship building.
-Prior work experiences requiring self-direction and ability to work independently and effectively.
-Demonstrated leadership with initiatives and teams devoted to improving diversity, inclusion, and equity.

Preferred skills:
-Experience coaching adult job seekers on application materials and recruitment processes.
-Working knowledge of pharmaceutical and/or psychedelic therapy industries.
-Experience supporting international students/employees through job recruitment and application processes.
-Prior experience working with internship and/or co-op programs and placing students in these programs.

Work Type:

Full Time: 100%

It is anticipated this position will be remote and requires work be performed at an offsite, non-campus work location. Those residing within a reasonable distance of Madison, Wisconsin have the option of performing work onsite.
