Job Description:

The Department of Global Education at the State University of New York at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Faculty-Led Program Coordinator. We seek collaborative, adaptable candidates who love the details of planning programs and events, are driven by working with others in a fast-paced environment and are excited about having an impact by supporting our students and faculty! Expectations include, but are not limited to, collaborating with faculty members to manage short-term faculty-led programs (international and domestic), as well as advising study abroad students.

The OGE advances this purpose through programs and services for international students, visiting scholars, education abroad students, and students participating in domestic faculty-led programs. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Developing, launching, and managing international and domestic faculty-led programs (FLPs) in collaboration with faculty, staff, third-party providers, and other offices/departments.
  • Supporting faculty in program development, budgeting, promoting, facilitating administrative FLP review and approval, conducting pre-departure orientation, allocating scholarships, and assessing programs upon their return.
  • Advising students on FLP and SUNY Oneonta education abroad opportunities.
  • Assisting with planning and implementing education abroad and other office-wide events.
  • Representing the OGE at stakeholder meetings, on committees, and conferences when necessary.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant experiences and/or studies in an international setting
  • Demonstrated understanding of student services within the collegiate environment
  • Meticulous organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership of projects
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred:
  • Experience working within an international collegiate office
  • Knowledge of overseas logistical processing, visa guidelines, and global issues impacting campus internationalization
  • Trained in Banner or other student information system
  • Experience working with and serving diverse populations
