Job Summary

Reporting to the Coordinator of Child Care Assistance and District Director of Student Affairs, the Enrollment Specialist of Child Care Assistance Program is responsible for recruiting and enrolling students in the TCC Child Care Assistance Program. The focus is to connect eligible student-parents with quality childcare centers and reduce financial obligations that might otherwise interrupt academic goals.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Performance Requirements*
  • Promotes student-centered campaigns to support enrolled students with college and community stakeholders
  • Attends college and community activities to promotes awareness and improve student experiences
  • Conducts student interviews during the enrollment process, in-person or virtually
  • Refers students to Coordinator of Child Care Assistance when additional campus or community resources are needed
  • Maintains accurate student records for tracking and reporting
  • Coordinates and cooperates with other administrators, staff, and district offices
  • Follows Federal, State, local, and institutional guidelines to maintain a comprehensive program
  • Assists in grant writing, researching, and editing proposals
Service Excellence
  • Participates, as appointed by the Coordinator of Child Care Assistance, in internal and external community organizations and associations to support the essential performance requirements
  • Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
  • Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College ( TCC ) and attends appropriate professional meetings, conferences, and workshops
  • Supports the values of the College: diversity, teaching excellence, student success, innovation, and creativity and service to the College
  • Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of the College
Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the Coordinator of Child Care Assistance and District Director of Student Affairs.

Required Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or 60 college hours and one (1) year’s working experience in Enrollment Services, Recruiting, Student Affairs, Child Care; or any equivalent combination of education, training, certification, and related experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Degree or coursework in Child Development, Social Work, Education, or related field
  • Current certification in Pediatric CPR and First Aid
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse populations
  • Skilled with working with computerized systems and office productivity software at the intermediate level
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and a setting that is diverse and urban
  • Ability to think critically to effectively solve and communicate problems in a fast-paced environment where the demands for work are varied, and unpredictable in scope and volume
  • Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations based on policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
  • Ability to delegate work appropriately to faculty and staff to meet College and campus deliverables
