The Academy Evaluation Systems Team provides evaluation support to all Academy programs, including designing evaluation tools, and electronic data collection systems, analyzing data, and providing feedback to both Academy programs and Academy stakeholders. They also assist programs to utilize the data to enhance training services.


Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

Under the general direction of the Lead Evaluation Systems Analyst, the Evaluations Systems Support Analyst is responsible for supporting the Evaluation Systems Team in the implementation of evaluation projects, data systems, data entry, data analysis, data quality assurance and reporting for the Academy. This position is responsible for creating, programming, and assisting in administering surveys in the Qualtrics data collection system, pulling routine summary reports, assisting in daily quality assurance procedures, data cleanups, and assisting in reporting from additional Evaluation Systems. This position works primarily from a home office and requires some travel to Academy offices in San Diego or Riverside or other worksites as needed. Candidate must reside in the state of California.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

This is a full time position. The following information is intended to be a representation of the work performed by incumbents in this position and is not all-inclusive. Note: Some duties may include working with and/or exposure to sensitive/traumatic topics or material dealing with child abuse, elder abuse, and/or issues and scenarios related to mental health, substance use, or racism.

PROGRAM EVALUATION (90%)
  • Create, modify and program Qualtrics surveys
  • Assist in maintaining data codebooks
  • Assist in the distribution and problem solving of surveys
  • Pull routine training summary reports and provide support to programs on such reports
  • Assist in maintaining databases; gather, organize, analyze, and provide reporting
  • Assist in daily data quality assurance efforts to ensure accurate data collection, transfer, archiving, maintenance, analysis, and communication across programs
  • Assist with data monitoring, data clean-ups for dashboards and surveys and the maintenance of procedures
  • Extract and organize secondary data from online sources
  • Train data entry staff on procedures
  • Assist in making progress toward program goals, priorities, and major work schedules
  • Attend and facilitate zoom meetings
  • Assist in pulling ad hoc reports
  • Managing own tickets via the ticketing system including communication with internal evaluation team members, program staff, and completion of evaluation request

  • Qualifications
    REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
    • Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university
    • One-year of experience in technical research or statistical work

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Two years of related work experience
    • Previous administrative level experience working with online survey tools (i.e. Qualtrics, REDCap, or Survey Monkey, etc)
    • Experience extracting secondary data from online sources
    • Previous experience or knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, SharePoint, SQL databases, and Trello
    • Previous experience in data entry, manipulation, transfer, moniorting and reporting
    • Previous experience performing data clean ups, data checks, and other date quality assurance activities
    • Previous experience training other staff on data entry and reporting
    • Two years of progressively responsible experience in technical or administrative assignments
    • Knowledge of SPSS
    • Familiarity with Human Services including Public Child Welfare, Adult Protective Services, and Behavioral Health
