About the Opportunity

The Administrative Coordinator position provides direct administrative support to the directors of the Center for the Arts (CFA) and Center for Communication, Media Innovation, and Social Change (CCMISC).

This position will provide a comprehensive range of duties to ensure overall efficiency of daily operations in the CFA and CCMISC, including, but not limited to, managing calendar and meeting logistics for the Centers' activities, resolving facilities and technical issues, and supporting budgetary responsibilities by executing contracts, purchase orders, and payments to vendors. The Administrative Coordinator will also coordinate all aspects of Centers' events and programs logistics with CAMD Events Specialist, including space reservations, booking travel and accommodations, participant and vendor communication, menu selections, and managing AV needs.

The Administrative Coordinator will also provide direct support for the Centers' external communications by coordinating with CAMD's MarComm team, preparing promotional materials, publicizing events and programs, and maintaining Centers' email lists. In addition, the position will assist with CFA and CCMISC internal communications by managing relations with key constituents including Dean's Office staff, CFA and CCMISC affiliates, invited guests, and other CAMD and NU faculty and staff, as needed. The candidate must possess excellent communication skills and do so professionally and efficiently.

This position will report directly to the Directors of the CFA and CCMISC and will require a great deal of flexibility as they will be expected to move between the duties of the two centers as needed.
