About the Opportunity

About Northeastern:

Founded in 1898, Northeastern is a global research university and the recognized leader in experience-driven lifelong learning. Our world-renowned experiential approach empowers our students, faculty, alumni, and partners to create impact far beyond the confines of discipline, degree, and campus. Our locations—in Boston; Charlotte, North Carolina; London; Portland, Maine; San Francisco; Seattle; Silicon Valley; Toronto; Vancouver; and the Massachusetts communities of Burlington and Nahant—are nodes in our growing global university system. Through this network, we expand opportunities for flexible, student-centered learning and collaborative, solutions-focused research. Northeastern's comprehensive array of undergraduate and graduate programs— in a variety of on-campus and online formats—lead to degrees through the doctorate in nine colleges and schools. Among these, we offer more than 195 multi-discipline majors and degrees designed to prepare students for purposeful lives and careers.

The College of Professional Studies is one of nine colleges of Northeastern University, a nationally ranked private research university. Founded in 1960, the College provides lifelong experiential learning that unleashes the capacities of aspiring individuals in all stages and walks of life. The College teaches undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students on campus and online in more than 90 programs.

The Graduate School of Education, based in Northeastern's College of Professional Studies, offers EdD, DLP and MEd programs in online formats, complemented by residencies drawing upon Northeastern's global network of campuses in Charlotte, NC; Seattle; Silicon Valley; Toronto; Vancouver; and London. The practice-based doctorates within the GSE, the Doctor of Law and Policy and Doctor of Education, are educational vehicles that contribute to the development of high-level practitioners. The GSE is driven by its commitment to social justice and change agency in students' local contexts using a range of educational modalities, creating a laboratory for lifelong learning.

The Bouve College of Health Sciences has over 200 faculty members, with approximately 2,000 undergraduate and 2,400 graduate students. It is the leading national model for education and research in the health, psychosocial and biomedical sciences and supports the University's mission of educating students for a life of fulfillment and accomplishment and creating and translating knowledge to meet global and societal needs.

About the Opportunity:

The Graduate School of Education within the College of Professional Studies and Bouve College of Health Sciences at Northeastern University seek candidates for a 12-month open- rank, non-tenure track, renewable faculty position in the area of workplace learning with a focus on healthcare systems.

The Graduate School of Education programs are located at the intersection of theory, research and practice and foster the development of scholars in practice.
