Summary and Responsibilities:

The Laboratory of Neuroanatomy and Behavior (PI Rebecca Shansky) is accepting applications for an NIH-funded postdoc position to study sex differences in fear circuitry in rodent models. Our small/medium-sized lab uses a range of techniques, including chemogenetics (DREADDs), fiber photometry, immunofluorescence, 3D neuronal reconstructions, as well as sophisticated approaches to behavioral analyses.

Competitive applicants will have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience or a closely related field and experience in a rodent lab. We value creative, curious scientists, and especially encourage applicants from underrepresented or historically marginalized backgrounds to apply.
