Bucknell University's Library and Information Technology division is seeking a Research and Instruction librarian with liaison duties to support selected disciplines based on candidate experience and departmental needs. The primary goal of this position is to actively engage and collaborate with students, faculty, and staff, providing relevant instruction, outreach, and support for scholarship.
The Research and Instruction Librarian will have knowledge of current learning, teaching, and information literacy theory and best practices, and experience applying them, preferably in an academic setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working as an instructional librarian in an academic setting, and will have a background or experience in engineering, data services, the natural sciences and/or history, and experience in, or demonstrated interest in learning the use of technologies for digital scholarship.
Minimum qualifications:
ALA-accredited Master's Degree (MLS) in library/information science
Preferred qualifications:
Additional subject area master's degree or higher
Two years of professional experience as a librarian in an academic library
Work Type:
This position is full-time, benefits eligible, staff exempt position.
This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time, all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of the application.
Salary Range:
This is a Staff exempt position with a hiring range of $52,500 - $65,625. The offer rate will be based on a review of the candidate's credentials compared to the qualifications of the position, internal equity, and our overall compensation philosophy.
