Video Production Specialist

Job Summary

Drexel University seeks an experienced Video Production Specialist to join their award-winning Instructional Design and Multimedia Services (IDMS) team. IDMS is responsible for developing engaging educational video and multimedia solutions for instructional course content. This position will assist the team with pre-production, production and post-production services.

Essential Functions

• Assist University faculty with recording presentations in video studio and classroom settings.
• Perform camera operation, audio recording, lighting, and editing for video and multimedia productions.
• Design motion graphics and animations for use in videos or courses.
• Stay up to date with new technological advances.
• Assist video productions in various crew roles as needed.
• Provide a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected as is a strong desire to learn new skills.
• Complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Multimedia Services.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s and 2 years of experience or Equivalent .
• Demonstrated knowledge of video production techniques, related equipment & technologies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of lighting (including green screen), audio, video composition and narrative storytelling.
• Working knowledge of video cameras, settings, codecs and formats.
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Video Production, Film & Video or Multimedia related field.
• Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere, and post-production workflows.
• Ability to work on nights and weekends as needed.

Hybrid: Remote/University City, Philadelphia PA
