French, Italian, & Classical Studies: Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor position in Classical Studies. Employment begins August 21, 2023. Teach undergraduate courses in Latin and Classics and contribute positively to the intellectual climate of the Department. Courses assigned may include beginning and intermediate Latin and areas of ancient culture such as Classical Mythology, Daily Life in Antiquity, Ancient Medicine, and Classics and Film.

Required: Ph.D. in Classics or closely related field by date of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor or ABD in Classics or closely related field for appointment as Instructor. Research area of specialization is open.

Consideration may be given to candidates with an active research agenda in the cultures of the ancient Mediterranean and a demonstrated ability to contribute to the growth of the Classical Studies program, demonstrated excellence in teaching Latin language and Classical Studies and interest in innovative teaching methods.
