Develop, implement, and evaluate programming and provide overall management for the Student Care Center (SCC) operations.

Description of Duties and Tasks

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Supervises, trains, coaches, directs, coordinates, and disciplines personnel while adhering to organizational human resources policies and procedures as well as related employment laws. This includes supporting task management, employee scheduling and workflow, assisting with training and development, ensuring customer service delivery, and recommending hire and termination personnel actions for positions supervised.
  • In collaboration with stakeholders, develops and implements Student Care Center policies, procedures and processes that guide use of the SCC and daily operations.
  • Provides equity-based leadership while managing daily operations of the Student Care Center and ensuring that operational and customer service standards are met and exceeded. Must establish and maintain a welcoming, caring and supportive environment.
  • Coordinates with community organizations and resources to provide support for students’ basic needs including, but not limited to, food, transportation, housing and legal services.
  • Evaluates Student Care Center utilization patterns and conducts continuous quality improvement and effectiveness reviews for ongoing strategic alignment of space and resources with Student Care Center goals, programming offerings, and student experience.
  • Conducts ongoing evaluation of SCC services, student needs, and remains current on best practices in the field to inform program development and service delivery.
  • Manages and modifies the SCC operations and programming schedule, including inventory management and control, food and household goods deliveries and other resources.
  • Coordinates data for reporting and planning purposes such as utilization reports, student satisfaction, and staffing coverage needs.
  • Promotes the Student Care Center to students, faculty, staff, and external community members.
  • Regularly convenes an SCC advisory committee made up of internal and external stakeholders in order to solicit feedback and input on SCC operations and programming.
  • Answers inquiries, provides information, and resolves problems or concerns related to operations, programs, student experience, and services within the Student Care Center.
  • May assist with the application, awarding and/or administration of the Student Emergency Fund and state and federal assistance programs designed to support under-resourced individuals and students.
  • Interprets and applies college policies and procedures related to Student Care Center service delivery.

Required Work Experience
  • Two years related work experience, including retail management.

Preferred Work Experience
  • Experience in crisis management and student advocacy and support.

  • Bilingual - Spanish speaking.

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Education
  • Master's degree in social work or related field.

Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in a standard office or similar environment.

  • Subject to standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.

  • Occasional lifting of objects up to 10 pounds.

Salary Range

$62,249 - $77,811
