Limited Term Lecturer


Position Summary

The Odum School of Ecology at the University of Georgia invites applications for two full-time academic year (9-mo) Limited-Term Lecturer positions with a start date no later than August 1, 2023. The EFT for each position is a 70% instruction and 30% instructional services. Each Limited-Term Lecturer will teach two courses in the fall and spring terms (4 courses total in the academic year), in addition to participating in formal mentorship/shadowing opportunities with teaching-focused faculty. The two courses taught by each limited-term lecturer will include:

Course 1: General Ecology (ECOL3500) or Ecological Basis for Environmental Issues (ECOL1000),

Course 2: Ecological Data Literacy (ECOL3550), Ecological Laboratory (ECOL3510), Ecological Methodology (ECOL4130L), or other course that matches the instructor’s expertise and departmental needs.

Limited-term lecturers could teach the same two courses in fall and spring (i.e. ECOL3500 and ECOL4130L in both fall and spring), but may need to expand to other courses, based on student demand.

Special Instructions to Applicants

Review of applications will begin on April 22, 2023, and continue until the positions are filled. Applicants should note that this position requires in person instruction and that there are no relocation funds available to the successful candidate.
