The Art Department at Covenant College invites applications for a full-time regular faculty position beginning July 1, 2023. We are seeking someone with a terminal degree in Art (MFA), sculpture or crafts whose practice engages three-dimensional materials and processes and who can also communicate rich theological and conceptual frameworks to students. The ideal candidate would be flexible and confident to pivot with current needs and trends in the field as well as respond to student interests. Furthermore, we are looking for someone with leadership capabilities who can help grow our department and integrate well with our department and the faculty as a whole. Covenant College is an academically rigorous Christian college emphasizing the liberal arts in the Reformed and Presbyterian tradition. Rank and compensation commensurate with experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Teach 3 studio courses each semester: foundation, intro and advanced courses  Manage studio spaces and work study students  Occasionally teach courses for the college core  Advise and mentor students  Serve as an advisor for Art Department Capstone projects  Serve on rotating faculty committees  Periodically assist with departmental recruiting and administrative duties

Commitment to the mission of Covenant College  Terminal Degree (MFA) in Art from a regionally accredited institution  Demonstrated excellence in teaching  Interest in mentoring undergraduates
