English Faculty (one year)

Northwestern College invites applications for a one-year faculty position in English to begin August 2023. The teaching expectation includes courses primarily in the areas of literature and writing, including a basic writing course, an introductory literature course as part of our general education program, and upper-level courses in American literature and short fiction. The teaching load for this position is 24 credit hours for the academic year.

Required Qualifications: Candidates must hold a master’s degree in English or closely related field and demonstrate effective teaching. Candidates will exhibit a love of Christ, an embrace of the Gospel, and support the college’s mission as expressed in our Statement of Christian Identity, Vision for Learning and Vision for Diversity. Northwestern identifies as Reformed in commitment, evangelical in engagement and ecumenical in spirit. We view these Christian theological perspectives as complementary and draw from the strengths of each perspective in fulfilling our mission.
