Job Details
Buena Vista University is seeking a Lead Groundskeeper to direct the operational activities of the grounds department. Responsibilities include directing the work of groundskeepers, equipment operators, and other personnel to maintain campus grounds and athletic fields. Routine care of university grounds, such as mowing, chemical treatments of lawns, trees, and plants, irrigation, and renovations. Must be able to operate and maintain a variety of tractors, mowers, and related grounds equipment. Mechanical skills are required. Must be able to work in inclement weather. 2-4 years of training and/or experience required and a degree in horticulture is preferred.
A background check will be conducted on the final candidate.
