The University of Maryland- Medicine Institute for Neuroscience Discovery (UM-MIND) is expanding the diversity of its faculty by recruiting several tenure-track neuroscience faculty members, preferably at the Assistant Professor rank but higher ranks considered. We are interested in PhD, MD, or MD/PhD candidates whose research complements the pillars of the institutes strengths in three areas; 1) neurodevelopment and psychiatric disorders, 2) neurotrauma and brain injury and 2) neurodegeneration and aging. Rank and tenure status will be dependent on the candidate’s qualifications, which should include a strong record of scholarly activity and funding.

Qualifications :

New faculty will be actively mentored to achieve success in an exceptionally collaborative environment composed of strongly productive research programs, state-of-the-art equipment, and outstanding core facilities. We offer highly competitive salary and recruitment packages. All institute faculty are members of the Graduate Program in Life Sciences interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience and will reside in a home department in the University of Maryland School of Medicine commensurate with their interests and expertise. Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher, however, final rank and tenure status will be commensurate with selected candidate’s experience.
