Minimum Education/Training/Experience

Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and general clerical or office support experience including: organizing and maintaining files; data entry; spreadsheet and word processing; and assisting with events and projects.

Preferred Education/Training/Experience

Knowledge of customer service, some public speaking experience, experience with travel organizations, scheduling, and social media.

Minimum Knowledge & Skills

- Business math;
- Basic office practices and procedures;
- Basic record keeping practices;
- Basic computer applications;
- Operating standard office equipment;
- Reviewing documents for completeness and accuracy;
- Communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, students, the public, etc.

Preferred Knowledge & Skills

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
- Strong communication skills;
- Strong organizational skills; ability to track and manage filing system;
- Strong orientation to excellent customer service;
- Use of social media

Job Duties

- Research and plan local day/evening trip schedule appropriate for Lifelong Learning students;
- Work with travel organization to plan and execute U.S. and international extended travel;
- Complete and maintain required paperwork for each trip;
- Proof content of travel-related material and assist with marketing of travel program;
- Occasionally speak to groups to promote travel/trip program;
- Maintain vendor/provider information for trips and extended travel;
- Travel with groups including local and extended travel (within U.S. and Internationally)

Physical Requirements

Positions in this class typically require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
