The University of New Mexico-Valencia is seeking a strategic, motivated, organized and culturally responsive professional to join our campus as the Director of Enrollment Management and Student Success.  The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations while providing strategic direction, and fiscal management for areas of responsibility. This position has the unique ability to enact best practices and facilitate change to enhance student success.  The Director will be responsible for facilitating strategic planning for the unit, supporting student recruitment and retention initiatives, developing policies and procedures for student enrollment and curricular matters, serving as an intermediary for student issues and complaints, identifying and addressing challenges in students’ progress toward student success.  In addition, the Director also oversees all student support services (including accommodations for academic adjustments), activities, and student clubs.  The division includes Student Records, Career Services, Student Success, Registration, Admissions, Testing, Financial Aid, Recruitment, Dual Credit, and TRiO programming.

The director oversees the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training, and problem resolution; evaluates performance and makes recommendations for personnel actions keeping in line with the University Personnel Policies and Procedures.

Located about 30 miles south of Albuquerque in rural Valencia County, the University of New Mexico-Valencia Campus is a two-year branch campus of the University of New Mexico which functions as a community college in the region and is designated a Hispanic Serving Institution.  With an emphasis on teaching excellence, UNM-Valencia offers academic transfer programs, career and technical education (CTE) programs, Adult Basic Education, and Dual Credit High School/College courses to Valencia and Socorro Counties.  The faculty and staff serve a student body of over 2,200 students per semester.
