Purpose of Position

We are seeking to hire a project administrator (PA), a part-time new hire staff, for a National Science Foundation-funded project. This position is funded through this grant with an end of date 12/14/2026.

This person will play a central role in ensuring the success of the project and the students we aim to serve with it. In particular, the project supports the academic and career development of students from underrepresented racial/ethnic groups and transfer students in STEM disciplines. In solidarity with this goal, we encourage applications from members of underrepresented racial/ethnic groups with experience with STEM .

This person will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating new activities under the grant, including community-building and career development sessions for undergraduate students, and meetings with the community, business, and other stakeholders in the project.

The PA will also coordinate project team meetings and gatherings of project team members with student cohorts. They will create and maintain project records (including meeting minutes) and facilitate the collection and collation of data for grant research, including the student success indicators associated with this project (retention, graduation, and career transition). Additionally, they will help manage the grant budget, including initiating and tracking budget processes and monitoring the overall budget.

  • Collect and collate generated data
  • Communication to project participants
  • Initiating and tracking budget processes, and monitoring the overall budget
Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree plus 3 additional years related experience equivalent.

Preferred:
  • Training in general business/project management, organizational leadership, and/or data science or related field.
  • SAP software, Microsoft Suite of programs, including Teams, Zoom, and classroom management software (e.g. Canvas).
This position will require light lifting (less than 20 lbs.).
