Baruch College (NY), one of 23 colleges of the City University of New York (CUNY), invites inquiries, nominations, and applications in their search for a strategic leader to serve as the next Vice President for Operations and Administration. Located near Wall Street and Midtown Manhattan, Baruch College is a vibrant and impactful institution serving more than 19,700 students (with nearly 4,000 graduate students) through its three schools: the Zicklin School of Business, the Mildred and George Weissman School of Arts and Sciences, and the Austin W. Marxe School of Public and International Affairs. The Vice President for Operations and Administration is expected to assume office on or around July 1, 2023.

 

Reporting to President David Wu, the Vice President for Operations and Administration is responsible for all aspects of administrative, operational, and fiscal functions of the College. As chief operating officer, the Vice President serves as a member of the President's Cabinet and works collaboratively with the Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and other senior leaders as well as faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders of the College.

 

Overseeing six offices with over 260 talented professionals, the Vice President provides vision, leadership, and administrative oversight for a portfolio that includes administrative operations (including business and finance, planning and budget, and human resources), campus operations (including facility planning and operations, campus security, and conference center), and the Baruch College Fund. The Vice President will work closely with the President and those offices responsible for corresponding operations at the City University of New York (CUNY) system and is responsible for implementing innovative processes and best business practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the College’s operations.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary $230,000-$288,000 commensurate with education and experience.
