Registrar Coordinator



Position Summary:

We are a diverse community of students, staff and faculty at a Catholic, Marianist research University in search of a candidate to provide outstanding service to our students. The Registrar Coordinator supervises over the Administrative Secretary to the Registrar office, approving leave, assigning work, reviewing performance, and evaluating job duties of the Administrative Secretary. The Registrar Coordinator collaborates with the Registrar of the Law School in the management and daily operations of the Registrar's office. This position also serves as gatekeeper for the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, prepares all official correspondence, researches and communicates diverse bar exam requirements, ensures compliance with FERPA and accreditation standards for online consumer information, aids in class scheduling and maintains calendar. Develops, organizes, and distributes reports from the University reporting data base for reporting to accrediting agencies. Takes responsibility for the scheduling of classrooms for instruction, events, and external activities, as well as maintains and operates the building locking system for all interior and exterior locks.

Minimum Qualifications:

Some college or equivalent work experience.
Registrar office experience.
High functioning knowledge of computers and Microsoft software.
Experience with operation of office equipment, i.e. computer, printer, scanner, copier, phone, voicemail, fax machine, etc.
High level of organization with the ability to prioritize daily and cyclical responsibilities and ability to multi task.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality with student information.
Ability to make sound judgments.
Willingness and ability to learn new programs and processes, accept and adapt to change.
Ability to work with little supervision.
Ability to work with persons at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

Knowledge of Datatel, Banner, ExamSoft, AppExtender and BDMS software, Cascade web design and Google Docs system.
Familiarity of FERPA compliance.
Experience with electronic file keeping.
Experience with correspondence. Some supervisory experience.
Demonstrated and successful experience working with people from diverse backgrounds
Knowledge of and sensitivity to a Catholic Marianist work environment.

A federal court on December 7, 2021, issued a ruling that suspends the COVID-19 vaccine requirement that applies to federal contractors nationwide. With this development, the University will pause any enforcement action against employees who have not complied with the requirement to be fully vaccinated by Dec. 8, 2021 or to have requested an exemption to maintain their employment status.
