Job Summary

The University of Colorado Boulder department of Aerospace Engineering Sciences seeks applicants to study gas-phase and gas-surface chemistry for NASA's Dragonfly mission using computational fluid dynamics. The successful applicant will have some basic experience with computational fluid dynamics and high performance computing systems. This is a temporary position with position dates from May 8, 2023 through August 9, 2023.

Who We Are

Nonequilibrium Gas and Plasma Dynamics Laboratory (NGPDL), a research group in Aerospace Engineering Sciences under the direction of Professor Iain Boyd.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
  • Study gas-phase and gas-surface chemistry for NASA's Dragonfly mission using computational fluid dynamics.

What We Can Offer

$20/hour up to 40 hours per week, no relocation assistance.

Benefits
Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave .

What We Require
  • As of Summer 2023, applicant shall be finished with their Junior year of undergraduate education in a relevant field.
What You Will Need
  • Applicant shall have some basic experience with computational fluid dynamics and high performance computing systems.
What We Would Like You to Have
  • Passion for studying chemical kinetics for high-speed aerospace applications, interest in pursuing post-secondary education.
