Position Function

Responsible for leading the operations and execution of the Indiana Connection Lounge and Experience. Actively connect students to employers and alumni at events hosted by the Career Center. Serve as a key team member in developing, maintaining, and growing external partnerships. Lead collaboration across programs, academic departments, and external partners.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.

Minimum Experience

Two years of professional experience.

Minimum Other

Demonstrated skill in relationship building, connecting people, hospitality, event planning, sales, recruiting or other related experience. Able to leverage the use of excel, outlook and other MS office tools. Must be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy.

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Education

Preferred Experience

5 years experience in relationship building, hospitality, event planning, sales, recruiting or other related experience. Able to leverage the use of excel, outlook and other MS office tools.

Preferred Other

Knowledge of academia and industry.

Serve as concierge and host for Indiana Connection Lounge & Experience Days, and other connecting events, including actively connecting students to visitors, ensuring events are progressing towards a positive outcome, attending athletic events with employers/alumni, and ensuring visitors have what they need for a successful experience.

Help plan, curate, and execute Indiana Connection Lounge activities including employer intake; in collaboration with career coaches source faculty, student groups and other university assets needed to fulfil the plan of action.

In partnership with the Marketing and Communication Coordinator develop and execute marketing and communication plans for events to ensure student participation meets participant goals.

Lead others to deliver career infusion and other connecting activities to share opportunities across all components of the Career Center so as to leverage and capitalize upon the relationships and opportunities presented in each area. Convene and lead the Connections Team which ensures collaboration and awareness across Career Center programs and the engagement of employer and alumni volunteers in programs.

Organize internship coordinator lunch and learns, and other engagements. Be point of contact for faculty internship relationships and internship program support from the Career Center.
