Job Description Summary
Reporting to the Director of Instructional Design and Content Strategy with a dotted line to the Director of Innovation, Technology, and Design, the Associate Director of Video Production Management is a key member of the Wharton Online team. The Associate Director is responsible for managing the video production for online and blended programs for both B2B and B2C. They direct the filming and editing of all video and digital assets both on campus and off-site when needed.

With responsibility for producing high-quality, engaging videos for online learning experiences, the Associate Director ensures that all deliverables are completed, on time and within budget. Tasks include: scheduling faculty members and videographers: developing and maintaining a master production schedule, presenting to external and internal partners, if necessary; overseeing filming sessions with faculty and partners; and managing production workflows. Working both independently and collaborating with the Wharton community and external partners, this position is a representative to faculty and external vendors, and has primary responsibility for ensuring the video production of quality online courses.

Job Description
  • Direct all aspects of video production for online and blended programs for both B2B and B2C audiences including content development, video production, and deliverable hand off and revisions.
  • Oversees and coordinates filming/taping sessions with faculty, partners, and team members and manages a team of videographers, editors, and freelancers to create video and graphic content.
  • Develop and manage production calendars and content creation workflows to maximize opportunities to reach and nurture target audiences. Explores and keeps current in video production technologies and new technologies in media creation.
  • Works with partners and collaborators to review and deliver video content for online programs.
  • Manage and maintain all project files and digital assets.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in media production, development of educational and communication resources, collaborative project planning is required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Highly skilled in professional communication and media development, excellent written and visual communication skills. Planning and organizational skills; attention to detail; comfort with technology and management of people and projects; diplomacy. Experience in identifying emerging communication trends and technologies and integrating them into tactical planning and daily activities a plus. Priority given to candidates with experience working with multiple constituents in large, multi-faceted academic environments. Diplomatic skills to work with wide range of individuals while representing the Wharton School. Valid driver's license required. Ability to work early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. Experienced with audio/visual production software and hardware. Skill with Adobe Premier and broader Adobe Product Suite, Audacity and other similar products preferred.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, as well as internal and market factors and grade profile.
