Earlham College is seeking a HR Generalist to join our team!

The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for directing and coordinating Human Resources services and related activities, including the Customer service to all employee’s and visitors, assisting with the administration of all day to day benefits, assisting with benefits, applicants and new hires.

Essential Functions:
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains employees’ files by recording hire, transfer, termination, change in job classifications, and merit increases.
  • Assists with administration of employee benefit program including medical insurance and disability programs. Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information. Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
  • Ensures all office communication is professional
  • Manages the office supplies and ensures the office equipment is maintained and working properly.
  • Additional duties as assigned
