Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage datasets/variables and perform data cleaning.
- Merge, create and recode variables to prepare data for analyses.
- Develop and implement data quality assurance procedures to ensure validity and reliability of study results.
- Create analysis datasets for use by other investigators.
- Develop analytical code for use in a highly collaborative environment.
- Write detailed documentation/specifications for analysis data sets and related files.
- Perform and document analyses on large, complex datasets using statistical software packages. Work with investigators to in the performance of analyses.
- Create tables and figures in publication-quality form summarizing the results of statistical analyses and present results orally to study investigators.
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of data during data processing.
- Proactively seek to improve or optimize workflow and discuss with coordinator/supervisor as appropriate.
- Utilize standard and non-standard biostatistical, bioinformatical, and database methods for the production of analyses.
- Keep abreast of technical and academic resources related to the methodology of statistical analyses.
- Discuss with colleagues, investigators, and supervisor the need for any additional analyses and/or special methodologic needs.
Special Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Proficient computing skills (particularly, R/Bioconductor, Python, and so on).
- Thorough understanding of policies and procedures.
- Effective working knowledge of Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Good interpersonal skills in dealing with investigators and understanding their problems.
- Good organizational, written, and verbal communication skills in the preparation and presentation of results.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.
- Three years related experience.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester
hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of

for the respective job.
