SALARY:

$16.44-$20.53 + per hour, the posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU's compensation plan. RVU's full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose

Provide administrative assistance for the Student Affairs team.

Essential Job Functions

  • Schedule appointments for student affair staff, including Associate Dean, Mental Health Director, Director of Student Life, Educational Learning Specialist, and Career and Professional Development Counselors.
  • Act as front counter receptionist, including responding to student queries, answering and routing phones, and monitoring student affairs e-mail address.
  • Process routine paperwork for Student Affairs staff, including event forms, purchasing requisitions, reimbursement requests, travel authorizations, etc.
  • Assist the Associate Dean in tracking budget expenses and reconciling with overall budget.
  • Assist the Educational Learning Specialists with tutoring tracking, budgeting, and payroll.
  • Assist all team members in the completion of projects, tasks, events, etc.
  • Schedule meetings and events for the Office of Student Affairs.
  • Act as Recording Secretary at meetings scheduled by the Office of Student Affairs
  • Provide administrative assistance with ordering supplies and other administrative duties such as regularly update Student Affairs bullet board and T.V. monitor.
  • Assist the Director of Student Life with special events.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor or his/her designee.


Marginal Job Functions

  • Provide cross-coverage for administrative tasks for the Office of Student Affairs.


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to valuing equity, diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment.
  • Demonstrate intermediate skill level or higher data entry knowledge and computer skills including Windows, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency in such web-based programs as Google Sheets, Docs, Presentations.
  • Type 60 wpm.
  • Ability to work with high level of confidential material with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve innovatively.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Demonstrate effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.


Minimum Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. At least two years of previous clerical/office experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Professional background in academic environment
  • Experience in organizing or supporting student affairs
