New Brunswick Center Coordinator

SALARY: $47,272.00 Annually

DEPARTMENT: New Brunswick Center

REPORTS TO: Director, New Brunswick Center

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Aids with the scheduling, coordination, and event support for activities at the Center.
  2. Helps Administrators by monitoring enrollment trends, assessing classroom space coordination, and monitoring staff coverage.
  3. Liaises with key departments in the Edison main campus, including workforce development and lifelong learning, registrar, student accounting, admissions, financial aid, ESL (English As a Second Language), and testing to assure Center staff is aligned with new processes and guidelines.
  4. Works closely with Administrators to coordinate and promote internal presentations with staff and main campus on admissions, registration, financial aid options, library services, career and counseling, grant opportunities, and basic needs support.
  5. Helps students complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) and any supporting financial aid documents.
  6. Works closely with the Director and College staff to coordinate recruitment activities for College and grant participants.
  7. Provides direct support to Director to assure compliance on grants by tracking data and preparing budget, progress and final reports.
  8. Oversees and coordinates purchasing and payments for the Center.
  9. Processes registration and parking applications for non-credit students and instructors.
  10. Coordinates dedicated events.
  11. Reviews and monitors needed changes to Center webpages, as assigned.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of administrative experience coordinating a busy office environment
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with data collection
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office and Enterprise Resource Planning tools
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Public speaking skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Associate degree
  • Work experience in a higher education setting
  • Experience with immigrant communities and grant programs
  • Knowledge of Colleague
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION:

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Saturdays as assigned) – 35 hours per week

Occasional evenings/Occasional Travel

Any Middlesex College employee hired after September 1, 2011 will have to meet the New Jersey residency law requirement.
