New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) is an extraordinary achievement and unparalleled opportunity in higher education. Established in 2008, it has quickly risen to become one of the most selective undergraduate institutions globally. It is transformative to the region, and a vital component of New York University's mission to lead the way in international higher education in the 21st century.

NYUAD is one of the first comprehensive liberal arts and science campuses in the Middle East offering a challenging and interdisciplinary curriculum that prepares students for a globally connected world. One of the defining features of NYUAD is its dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive community in an intellectually stimulating environment.

The campus is home to 2,100 students from more than 126 countries with no one nationality exceeding 15 percent, making it perhaps the most diverse student body in higher education. The faculty is equally diverse and highly accomplished, over 350 professors and 400 research staff who represent more than 45 different nationalities, all of whom bring a global perspective to their classrooms and research projects. They have secured over USD 38m in external research funding across over 80 research labs, centers and interdisciplinary group projects. This exceptional education has resulted in an impressive record of scholarships and other global honors, producing 17 Rhodes Scholars, 15 Schwarzman Scholars and 13 Fulbright Scholars.

NYUAD’s goal is to build a world-class institution that combines cutting-edge research, top-notch education, and a commitment to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and culturally rich community. Currently, in a phase of significant growth, they are growing undergraduate and graduate student numbers and faculty lines.

The University is seeking to appoint an Executive Director for Undergraduate Recruitment, Admissions and Financial Aid, reporting jointly to the Vice President, Global Recruitment, Admissions and Financial Aid and the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor and Senior Vice Provost for Strategy and Planning for NYUAD. In this crucial role, you will have the opportunity to shape one of the most innovative universities in the world and make a lasting impact on the lives of students.

The Executive Director will be a strategic and innovative leader who will oversee all aspects of a highly selective and global admissions process, from recruitment to enrollment. Working as a partner to NYU and as a senior leader within NYUAD they will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive admissions strategy that supports the University’s mission and enrollment goals. They will build relationships of trust with internal and external constituents, while leading and managing a team of 15 staff, overseeing third party relationships, the admissions budget, and providing strategic reports on admissions trends and activities.

An excellent communicator, effective manager and experienced in highly selective admissions, they will build and maintain relationships with local and global stakeholders demonstrating high-level influencing skills and diplomatic acuity. Committed to diversity and inclusion, the ideal candidate will require a detailed and nuanced understanding of global recruitment and be experienced in operating across multiple educational and cultural contexts.
