Overview

Princeton University's Office of Human Resources (HR) seeks a collaborative Talent Acquisition Associate. This is an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to join our high performing, growing team and contribute to transforming talent acquisition at Princeton University. This position is responsible for overseeing high volume temporary staff hiring and the University’s employment eligibility verification (I-9s) program, with a strong focus on compliance and process improvement. The role requires an individual with excellent communication and organization skills, problem solving abilities and who thrives in a fast-paced collaborative environment. The successful candidate is someone who is detail and process oriented, innovative and excellent at multi-tasking.



Responsibilities

Manage Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9) Process and E-Verify

  • Manage all aspects of the University’s Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9) process for faculty and staff, including E-Verify
  • Initiate and complete a high volume of complex employment eligibility verifications for all employee categories with various visa and employment eligibility documents.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on I-9 and E-Verify compliance. Stay abreast of government regulations, including changes to acceptable documentation, updates to I-9 form, etc.
  • Collaborate with campus partners to ensure compliance with work authorization eligibility
  • Serve as subject matter expert on I-9 system (Tracker). Liaison with vendor to stay abreast of system updates
Administer Hiring Process for Temporary Staff Positions

  • Oversee all phases of hiring process for various categories of temporary workers, including compliance with relevant policies
  • Advise hiring mangers regarding policy and procedures for hiring temporary workers.
  • Approve and maintain job requisitions within the iCIMS applicant tacking system, ensuring positions meet temporary policy guidelines.
  • Coordinate pre-employment background screening, drug testing and post-offer pre-employment (POPES) programs as required.
TA Operations and Onboarding

    Cross-train with onboarding administrator on all aspects of onboarding employees. Work with director on day to day talent acquisition operations activities and initiatives Provide excellent HR customer service to hiring managers, employees, and others by telephone, email. Participate in TA team projects and provide project management coordination.


Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree or the equivalent work experience is required.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in human resources is required, experience in talent acquisition preferred
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations specific to employment eligibility verification (Form I-9) and E-Verify
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Resourcefulness with creative problem-solving skills and process improvement orientation
  • Attention to detail with a compliance focus
  • High level of integrity and professionalism and maintaining confidentiality
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to establish solid working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Proficiency in HR systems (PeopleSoft), applicant tracking (iCIMS), Microsoft Office Suite
