Clemson University invites applications for a Director of Talent Acquisition in the Office of Human Resources (OHR). This position directs and oversees all aspects of the recruitment function within HR including establishes best practices necessary to attract and hire top talent, implements and manages recruiting strategies that foster a diverse and inclusive work environment and manages talent acquisition systems and tools that lead to hiring efficiencies. Performs other duties as assigned.

What can you expect from working as the Talent Acquisition Director in the Office of Human Resources?
Provides guidance and leadership for the Talent Acquisition team, including Talent Manager, Executive Talent Partners, and Talent Systems Coordinator. Responsible for the day-to-day performance of direct report(s) to include goal setting for performance and documenting performance planning and reviews stages, monitoring/approving employee productivity and time and attendance, providing constructive feedback and identifying and supporting areas to develop your employees, creating and/or maintaining an inclusive and engaging work environment, ensuring adherence to legal and University policies and procedures. Ensures customer expectations are met and talent acquisition processes are completed proactively. Oversees EVP approval process for staff and faculty hire requests.
Enhance the University's overall recruiting strategy. Continuously analyze the hiring process and make improvements to ensure Clemson is consistently able to recruit at a high level. Ensure Clemson is leveraging innovative strategies, technology and tip of the spear recruiting tactics to attract the best talent to Clemson. Manages recruitment vendor relationships to ensure tools and resources are effective for use. Facilitate the use of recruiting data and metrics to ensure our strategies and successes are founded in reliable data. Oversees specialty recruitment initiatives such as employee referrals and spousal hire program, Talent Source. Serves as HR liaison for university-wide projects and initiatives related to the talent acquisition function, such as OFCCP projects, volunteers, faculty hiring initiatives, EVP approvals, etc.
Influences the strategies used to diversify applicant pools in support of the Clemson Elevate strategic plan. Improve diversity and inclusion efforts by utilizing innovative recruitment techniques and strategies which position the university for long-term success. Develops and oversees programs and initiatives specific to OFCCP goal attainment, including but not limited to diversity and inclusion, veteran, and ADA recruitment. Collaborates with campus leaders in the development and reporting of the university's AAP as well as key initiatives that result from each year's AAP and/or recruitment audits.
Partners with Talent Management unit leaders to develop and maintain a consistent brand as a top employer in both Higher Education and beyond. Manages the employer brand via marketing, our online presence (websites, social media), and supporting talent acquisition programs (Talent Source, Employee Referrals, awards, etc.) that lead to intentionally developing and maintaining a strong employer brand leading to the attraction of top talent.
Collaborates with University leaders to identify areas of need and develop unit-specific talent strategies to be executed by talent acquisition team. Leads periodic comprehensive and detailed process reviews of recruiting, evaluation and hiring practices and tools. Directs and coaches Talent Manger who serves as primary point of contact and SME for talent acquisition tools, including but not limited to SkillSurvey reference checks, SparkHire video interviews, Talent Central skills testing, LinkedIn Corporate, Employee Referrals, and JobTarget advertising. Manages escalations from Truescreen Background Checks. Identifies ways to incorporate recruitment tools that lead to hiring efficiencies.

JOB DUTIES:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education - A bachelor's degree and professional experience in managing human resource programs.
