Job Description
Responsible for overseeing a wide range of mission critical services aimed at enhancing campus life for students, faculty, staff and guests, Auxiliary Services provides a comprehensive list of services supporting faculty, staff, students, alumni and guests, including Dining services, Housing, Meal Plan & ID Card Services and Syracuse University Campus Store.
With a wide array of services, Auxiliary Services has the opportunity to serve as a highly valuable resource to the University and its commitment to providing a vibrant campus experience.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in relevant field preferred; and a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible leadership experience in a forward-thinking university or corporate setting.
Job Specific Qualifications
With full fiscal responsibility, develop and oversee an annual operating budget of approximately $150 million. Collaborate with other campus leaders to advance a number of key initiatives on campus in an effort to enhance the living and learning experience for diverse student population.
Lead a comprehensive suite of services supporting faculty, staff, students, alumni and campus visitors. Oversee five business units providing a wide range of amenities from food services to housing, meal plan and Syracuse University Campus Store.
Develop long-range strategies for Auxiliary Services to ensure efficient operations and continuous improvement of services to meet the University’s goals and mission. Direct and oversee staff management to ensure the division meets the evolving needs and demands for services as the physical size, population, and expectations of the University continue to grow.
Actively engage across campus and work closely with the SVP / COO and fellow colleagues to ensure that the organization’s mission and priorities align with those of the University. Ensure that Auxiliary Services provides a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all staff through transparent and open communications with a receptiveness to change.
