The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University is seeking a Web Content Specialist to join the Enrollment Marketing Digital Strategies (EMDS) department in either Daytona Beach, Florida, or Prescott, Arizona. The Web Content Specialist is responsible for the production of digital content on university websites and will manage web content requests as well as maintain web projects to support the university’s Enrollment Management and Digital Strategy team.

This is a full-time administrative and professional staff position, reporting to the Director of Enrollment Digital Strategy. T he Web Content Specialist will manage web content requests and implement web changes via the University’s content management system, Sitecore. In addition, this team member will work closely with the Creative Strategy and Brand Management team to ensure designs and design components meet established University visual identity guidelines standards for brand, usability, web accessibility and digital best practices.

This position will partner with internal stakeholders to obtain all content requirements and assist in the development, execution, and monitoring of university enrollment marketing webpages, with a strong focus on campaign initiatives. Examples include webpages, landing pages and email templates.

Job Duties
  • Design wireframes and/or make content modifications, prototyping and testing for a variety of projects such as landing pages, webpages and emails as assigned by the Director of Enrollment Digital Strategy using current project management system.

  • Collaborate with internal clients, copywriters, university IT, CRM team and graphic design team to execute designs and adhere to university brand, based on feedback and direction from Creative Strategy and Brand Management team.

  • Confirm that prototypes and designs are tested for browser compatibility, mobile responsiveness, accessibility standards, usability guidelines, design standards and user-experience research.

  • Optimize web content for usability, search engines (when necessary), and accessibility.

  • Identify and recommend ways to integrate emerging technologies and best practices into current and future web pages, landing pages and digital communications to improve performance and conversions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT, New Media, Journalism, Computer Science or related field

  • 2 - 3 years of experience

  • Portfolio of relevant work is required

  • Computer fluency in Mac and Microsoft Office

  • Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, programming troubleshooting and an array of web technologies.

  • Working knowledge of Sitecore, Adobe Creative Cloud, Share point and Google Analytics a plus.

  • Knowledge of usability and accessibility best practices for the web.

  • Ability to design workflows for multiple devices and platforms including mobile, tablet and browser interfaces

  • Experience constructing wireframes, mockups, conceptual diagrams and layout documentation

  • Understanding of digital marketing and SEO strategies

  • Ability to communicate design ideas and solutions clearly and effectively to teams/stakeholders

  • Detail-oriented and quality-driven. Interested in putting forward the highest quality digital content to best represent Embry-Riddle using prototypes and testing to ensure the final product meets all stakeholders projected expectations.

  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Experience working with or on an innovative and creative team

  • Strong ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously with demanding deadlines

  • Excellent project management and communication skills

  • Graciously accepts constructive critique and can incorporate feedback to make changes

  • Researches and keeps current on new trends
