Primary Purpose of the Position

The Department of English is seeking a pool of candidates for adjunct positions for the 2023-2024 academic year. Candidates should be able to teach Thinking and Writing Critically about Literature, Black Speculative Literature, or World Literature beginning in August 2023. Interested persons must be willing to teach assigned classes, mentor students, and abide by department and university deadlines.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Department of English offers an undergraduate degree in English and minor programs in dramatic arts and African American literature. Our innovative academic programs prepare students to assume leading roles in society, industry, and the academy.

Master’s Degree or higher with a minimum of eighteen graduate hours in English from a four year accredited institution. One or more years of experience teaching literature to undergraduate students in face-to-face and online environments.
