The Department of Social Work at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee seeks to fill two positions: 1) Assistant Professor Tenure-track, 2) Instructional Academic Staff Adjunct Faculty Coordinator (Senior Lecturer). The Department confers BSSW, MSW, and PhD degrees. The MSW program emphasizes both direct and macro practice methods, offering a certificate program in school social work and interdisciplinary certificates in applied gerontology, trauma-informed care, and nonprofit management. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM), Wisconsin's major public urban research university, designated an R-1 Doctoral University - Highest Research Activity, and listed as a Community Engagement Classification in 2015 by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education.

POSITION TITLE: Tenure-track faculty at the rank of Assistant Professor
POSITION START DATE: August 2022.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: PhD in social work or a related field by position start date.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate the ability to (1) produce significant research and scholarship, (2) teach successfully across levels of the curriculum, and (3) collaborate across disciplines and with community partners. Candidates with research and teaching focus in gerontology, health, or mental health practice are of specific interest.

POSITION TITLE: Senior Lecturer
POSITION START DATE: January 2022
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have an MSW from a CSWE-accredited social work program, and have 2-years post Master's experience AND Meets at least one of the following three criteria: 1) Minimum of three years of experience in teaching social work college-level courses; 2) Minimum of three years working in the social work profession post Masters; or 3) Holds a PhD (or is ABD) in a social work-related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1) Social Work Licensure; 2) Professional experience with a variety of client groups and social service settings; 3) Current or prior role in helping to build a culture of diversity and in the promotion of social justice issues.
