Job Description:
May be asked to teach days, evenings, hybrid/online and in the dual enrollment program. Online/hybrid teaching requires additional campus-based training.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s in fine arts, art, or art history
OR Bachelor’s in any of the above
AND Master’s in humanities
OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area;
OR the equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

It does not refer to the “Master of Fine Arts” (MFA) degree when that degree is based on specialization in performing arts or dance, film, video, photography, creative writing or other nonplastic arts.)
Desirable Qualifications:
Demonstrated success in helping arts students from historically underrepresented and/or marginalized groups, nontraditional students, speakers of other languages, and students with learning disabilities.
