Assistant/Associate/Full Professor

The Department of Accounting is a unit within the College of Business that offers BSBA and MSA degrees and maintains AACSB accreditation. East Carolina is a comprehensive university of approximately 29,000 students, with over 4,500 students in the College of Business.

Job Duties

The Department of Accounting at East Carolina University is seeking applicants for a tenure-track, nine-month faculty position beginning academic year 2022-2023. The position is open to all areas of accounting. To assist new faculty members with the establishment of their research, a 6 s.h. teaching load is available for this position. The normal teaching load is 9 s.h. Additional duties include research/creative activities leading to publications as required for tenure as well as appropriate service to the university, community, and profession. This appointment will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate or Full Professor beginning in August 2022. The department seeks to attract a culturally and academically diverse faculty of the highest caliber skilled in the scholarship of research, teaching and application of knowledge. Minimum Education/Experience

This appointment requires a PhD with a concentration in Accounting from an appropriately accredited institution that satisfies credentialing under SACS guidelines. Candidates with PhD newly conferred at the time of initial appointment will hold the probationary rank of Assistant Professor. ABD candidates will also be initially appointed with the probationary term rank of Assistant Professor and must have the terminal degree conferred prior to their first reappointment. The position requires teaching excellence and strong scholarly productivity. Applicant required to be a CPA.
