Job Details

The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) is full-time, twelve-month, live-on position that is primarily responsible for assisting the Director of Residence Life and Community Standards with administrative tasks. The RLC’s responsibilities include creating a positive living community amongst the buildings, aiding in supervision of a student staff, assisting with housing procedures, and hearing Level 1-2 conduct cases. The RLC is part of the on-call structure and as such, participates in providing full-time staff relief with the on-campus on-call rotation and handles crises as needed. Assist with supervision of a student staff of 8-12 RAs including community building efforts and weekly staff meetings. Coordinate with Mailroom Manager for oversight and training of desk attendants as well as operations of the Mailroom. Assist with the facilitation of all major Residence Life processes including but not limited to: Student Staff Training in August/January, Health & Safety Inspections, hall opening and closing of buildings for academic breaks, student staff recruitment and evaluation process. Support housing programs such as room exchange, housing selection, etc. Be visible and available in the residence areas through programming objectives and office hours during seasonal busy hours. Support hall programs by attending RA programs and weekend programming when able. Adjudicate level 1-2 conduct cases including hearing, assigning sanctions and follow-up.  Participate and assist in Student Life initiatives. Ensure maintenance issues are filed in a timely manner. Performs other related duties that may be assigned. 

Requirements/Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree with student leadership experience required.  Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration or similar preferred. Valid state driver’s license with reliable transportation. 1 to 3 years' experience with Residence Life. Undergraduate experience as a Resident Assistant for at least two semesters. In-depth experience in campus programming around topics of community development, diversity and wellness. Experience with Maxient conduct software. Supervision and leadership experience desired.
