Position Details
Duties Performed in the Usual Course of the Job
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in music theory and musicianship (sight singing and aural skills), and other duties as needed by the School of Music.
Educational Requirements for the Position
Ph.D in Music Theory is required.
Experience Required for the Position
All applicants will be considered, but particular interest will be given to applicants with strong pedagogical skills and a successful record of teaching at the university level, an established research agenda, as well as a dedication to service and teaching .
Other Requirements for the Position
All School of Music faculty members are expected to maintain a record of service and creative/scholarly productivity that indicates continuing growth of national and international visibility. The applicant must work cooperatively in a dynamic environment and be committed to undergraduate education and student success.
