The School of Integrative Learning at Doane University invites applications for a non-tenure track Assistant or Associate Professor of Practice in Exercise Science in the Health Sciences Division.

Candidates should have 1) a graduate degree in Exercise Science, Strength and Conditioning, or Kinesiology; 2) First Aid and CPR Certification for the Professional Rescuer through the Red Cross required, or American Heart Association equivalent; and 3) CSCS certification through the NSCA will be required within six months of hire.

The successful candidate will teach a combination of courses in the areas of health and human performance, nutrition, sports nutrition, and health sciences. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in nutrition and a CSCS certification through the NSCA; preference will be given to those with experience in teaching and developing courses. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a commitment to teaching in an undergraduate liberal arts setting. Candidates with experience working with diverse populations and the skills to initiate and establish community contacts, foster relationships with relevant graduate programs, educate students about careers, and engage students in internship, research and/or service learning are preferred.

Doane University includes campuses in Crete, Lincoln, and Omaha, Nebraska as well as online. This position is based on the Crete campus and is a full-time academic/teaching role.
