The program director provides leadership and management of all aspects of an academic program by providing

discipline-specific expertise, supervising staff and faculty members, addressing students’ needs, and maintaining a required teaching load.

The Program Director - Business will be responsible for administration of all aspects of the DBA and MBA Programs providing discipline-specific expertise, staffing, and maintaining an appropriate teaching load.

A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:
  • Maintain an annual teaching load according to Baker College’s Teaching and Workload Policy
  • Schedule and staff program courses
  • Supervise and conduct curriculum development and revision as needed
  • Attend campus and system program meetings
  • Advise students and participate in new student orientations
  • Serve as the contact for the program; organize and lead program advisory board
  • Conduct program assessment & make continuous improvement
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Doctoral degree in business or a related field with a business major, minor, or concentration required
  • Experience in leadership position within higher education, preferred
  • Demonstrated competency in discipline-specific knowledge and performance skills required
  • Teaching experience in business fields at the college level and 3 to 5 years of work experience in the related field is preferred
  • Academic Program assessment experience, preferred
  • Accreditation experience, preferred
  • Knowledgeable in Learning Management System (Canvas)
  • Must be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills
