The Department of Transnational Asian Studies at Rice University in Houston, Texas, invites applications for a one-year position as Lecturer in East Asian Literature starting July 1, 2023. We are seeking applicants with the ability to teach broad survey courses in pre-modern East Asian literature as well as in subfields such as gender studies, media studies, comparative literature, or Asian American studies.
Job responsibilities:
- Teaching five classes per year,
- supporting undergraduate student activities, and
- participating in departmental programming.
Requirements:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in hand by July 1, 2023.
