Post Doctoral Fellow-Center for Advanced Engineering Fibers and Films

Location: 106 Earle Hall

Description

The Center for Advanced Engineering Fibers and Films (CAEFF) at Clemson University is looking to fill a Post Doctoral Fellow position. The main duty of this position will be conducting research on carbon fibers, polymers, carbon precursors, and composites. The candidate in this position will also work in a team environment on sponsored research and industrially funded projects. In addition, they will be responsible for preparing project progress reports, presentations, publications, and assist in writing research proposals. The position is for one year with a possibility of renewal based on performance and funding.


Qualifications
  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
  • Preferred research experience in one or more of the following areas: polymer processing, characterization of microstructure, testing of properties of fibers, matrices, and composites.
