Position Summary:
This position is for a UNM University Innovation Alliance (UIA) Fellow who will bolster the UNM campus' ability to drive change by assisting senior leaders in scaling collaborative innovation efforts to support student success, working directly on UIA initiatives with other national UIA fellows, and developing and sharing knowledge and skills in student support. The UNM UIA Fellow will manage and coordinate the establishment of key programs in student retention and degree completion and participate in and support strategic planning on student success initiatives. The position offers a talented individual dedicated to providing equitable access to education with the opportunity to develop leadership skills, relationships, experience, and acumen in higher education.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plans, develops, implements, and coordinates strategic operational and administrative programs of significance to the organization in the area of student support and success.

• Establishes and implements short- and long-range goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness, and effects changes required for improvement.

• Administers, oversees, and coordinates the activities of specific operating programs relative to student success, as appropriate to the objectives of the organization.

• Collaborates on maintaining staffing necessary to accomplish project goals.

• Coordinates with and meets regularly with the UIA cross-functional team-developing skills in collaboration, innovation management, shuttle diplomacy, group facilitation, and change management-and applies these skills in institutional projects.

• Provides strategic advice and consultation, informed by UIA, to leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of student success initiatives.

• Performs miscellaneous job duties, as assigned.
