Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage and direct the activates of the Office of the Registrar. 
  • Veterans Coordinator/ Certifying Officer 
  • Assist the University Registrar in developing the operating budget and maintain control of budgeted expenditures.
  • Maintain and archive student academic records and University enrollment data. 
  • Produce and distribute official University statistics for internal, state, and federal reports. 
  • Coordinate the implementation of upgrades to Banner Student Module Applicants with the Department of Information Technology and Institutional Research. 
  • Help coordinator the implemental of Degree Works, with the Degree Audit Coordinator and Associate Registrar. 
  • Serve on internal academic committees to represent the Office of the Registrar (Student Orientation, Academic Standards, NCATE Assessment) 
  • Provide accurate information to parents, students, staff, administrators, and the general public regarding the University policies as they relate to the Office of the Registrar. 
  • Other duties as assigned supervise: 
  • Academic records production, maintenance, storage and security.
  • Grades and grade changes: Major changes
  • Master Course Inventory and Class Withdrawals. 
  • Enrollment verifications and certifications.
  • Transcript requests and production    
  • Document imaging of Academic Records. 
  • Preparation of official enrollment reports. 
  • Review, update, change or deletion of policies related to Registration and Student Records as approved by the University Senate and/or the CSU Board of Trustee. 
  • Attendance at local, state and national conference.
  • Review and revision of office procedures. 
  • Training and evaluating staff performance.
  • Maintenance of open communications with staff, students, parents and administration. 
  • Other assigned duties as assigned. 
  • Required knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
  • Working knowledge of computers, database, spreadsheets and word processing. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite. 
  • Knowledge of management practices in college or university setting. 
  • Knowledge of university registrar operations. Knowledge of enrollment and registration trends. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Two years of supervisory experience or 2 years of higher education experience. 
  • Strong experience with word- processing and spreadsheet software programs, experience with online registration and record database system. 
  • Excellent communication and interpretation skills; ability to make decision within established polices, ability to work calmly and professionally with a wide variety of personalities 
  • Ability to manage projects and responsibilities simultaneously under pressure.
