Opening Details

Working under the supervision of the Unit Manager and 1stCook, you will work as part of a team to clean and sanitize dishware, utensils and cooking equipment. Daily duties include restocking all service ware during dining meal periods and sanitizing kitchen and dining room areas, providing custodial duties, and small event set-ups for meetings and breaks, assisting in receiving, organizing, and stocking all incoming goods, sanitizing the dish machine, kitchen areas, serving lines, dish storage areas and mop rooms, as well as maintaining clean and orderly recycling areas, disposing of food waste, and recyclable materials. Occasionally, you will assist with food preparation including washing, peeling, and cutting various items to prepare for cooking and serving.

Current Openings:

Driscoll Dining: 40 hours/wk, 10-month position, Thursday through Monday 12:30-9:00pm with Tuesday and Wednesday off.

Driscoll Dining: 40 hours/wk, 12-month position, Sunday through Thursday 12:30-9:00pm with Friday and Saturday off.

CDE: 32 hours/wk, 10-month academic year position, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 7:30 am – 2:30, Wednesday and Thursday 7:30am – 2:15 pm with Saturday and Sunday off.

Mission Park:38 hours/wk, 10-month position, Sunday 10:30a – 7p, Mon – Thur 1:00 – 9:00 pm with Friday and Saturday off.

Qualifications
  • Must be able to work independently
  • The job requires prolonged periods standing and moving about the space, lifting of material up to 40 lbs and bending to complete duties as assigned
  • Must possess strong customer service skills when working with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff
  • Knowledge and ability to serve guests with the highest level of professional service is required
  • Prior food service experience is preferred
